Understanding of Truth

First experiences of truth

Sometimes need to be surrendered

So that an expanded understanding

Of truth is grasped.

Is our initial understanding of truth

Simply an appetizer

That will progress in time to a main course

And end with a delectable dessert?

Is our expanding understanding

Like a changing lookout point 

From a small window

To a mountaintop location?

Truth opens us up

Fills us out

Pushes us forward

Stretches us onward.
