Realities of Life
During a 2009 extended stay in the city of Oxford, England, this street sign became a frequent point of reference for my husband and me.
We were initially amused by the image, but gradually awakened to two realities: 1) the culture's obvious awareness and compassion toward their aging population and 2) the fact of one day becoming that elderly couple who would need to be protected and watched over.
God, awaken us to Your presence in the realities of daily living.
