Honored Guest

Honored Guest

He scans the auditorium, looking for an appropriate seat for the honored guest.
She is worthy of the best, yet there seems to be only back row seats available.
The usher quietly frets while Truth patiently waits.
Ah. . . no, there is one empty seat in the third row – not the best, but it will do.
The usher waits for the crowd to thin, then holds out his arm to proudly escort Truth to her seat.
Heads turn to admire this elegant woman. Her presence unconsciously commands the attention of the audience.
Truth is seated.
And in this brief moment the audience is changed.
After the finale as people filter out of the auditorium, talk of the performance continues onto the street.
But interestingly enough, many bring the conversation back to the moment when . . .
Truth was ushered in.
