To Do or To Be

Aging bring the opportunity to simply “be” 
and to give this gift to our loved ones.

My question today

“To do or to be?”

Does older age offer

the answer for me?

As I be and become

on life’s terms, not mine,

I recognize mystery,

simple answers redefined.

Listening to people

with head and with heart

keeps me in present

held together, not apart.

So now is my time

to be an expert at being

and fill up these years

with fullness and meaning.
